As of when I wrote this post, we still had no snow at home, but I sure am enjoying the snow up north when I go. My landscape shots are from the parents house.

For my bird shots today, I have this lovely female Sparrow stealing food from the squirrel bowl!!

A sweet little Red Breasted Nuthatch watching the crazy squirrel activity from the safety of the tree!

and my token male Cardinal shot...
Do you think he's dancing or having some kind of temper tantrum? lol

Two Ring Billed Gulls fighting over a peanut...
To quote Finding Nemo... "Mine, mine-mine, mine!!" lol

"Seriously lady, you could have told me had peanuts BEFORE I ran off with this stupid health food!"

"Yay me! The early bird really DOES get the worm! Ok, so I'm a squirrel and this is a cashew, but still, yay me!"

"I'm sure this seems like the perfect moment to capture with your camera, but as the one sitting in the snow, may I just say... KNOCK IT OFF!"

I am hearing that a lot of you have gotten freezing fog this last week. How very scary and amazing at the same time. Oh boy to see that in real life, but dang how dangerous it would be for my squirrels! For my macro, I thought I would show you best frost that we managed this year. (taken in November)

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

I haven't been outside as much I would like, apparently trekking through the mud is not really my thing. lol. Again I share some landscape photos from up north and my wildlife shots were mostly taken in December when we had some snow.

I have decided to play along over at Our Beautiful World this week. Their theme is "Outside", seems like it's right my alley! lol

For my birds today, I have this sweet little Black Capped Chickadee perched on my hand...

a beautiful female Sparrow catching some morning rays...

and this handsome male Cardinal having a sit down in the snow...

"OK human, I gave you my very best cute face. Time for you to drop the peanuts!"

"Maybe you have to know the darkness before you can appreciate the light."
Madeline L'Engle

"Please stop snowing. Please stop snowing. Please stop snowing."

For my macro today, a beautiful frozen leaf in the morning sun...

At this point I'm not even going to mention the total lack of snow around here. After I while, even I'm sick of hearing the complaining! lol. Let's just say, these landscape photos were taken while I was up north visiting the parentals.

Back at home I have some bird shots starring this beautiful Mourning Dove...

This handsome Blue Jay...

and I decided to go with a female for my token Cardinal shot...

For those of you who follow my personal Facebook page, you have already met this adorable friend of mine from the lake. I have finally decided to call her TUBBY TESSA, although that name may not fit her in the spring after she loses her winter padding! lol

"I really want one of those cookies, but I have serious concerns about the creature waving it at me!"

"Good grief human! Would you knock it off with the sudden movements please!"

And for my macro today, a little ice and little snow and a little sunshine! The perfect day I say!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.
