Hello Everyone!

Well our snow is all gone now and the temperatures seem to be getting a little better each day. I probably won't have any landscape photos for a while. As attractive as I think that MUD is, I'll probably hold off a bit until some green shows itself. So I'll get straight to the wildlife!

For my birds today I have this sweet little Chickadee...

This is my first ever photograph of a White Breasted Nuthatch!! They are wicked fast, sort of rare and do not like humans at all, so I am pretty happy to get this this shot!

A sweet little Blue Jay enjoying the morning sun...

I'm so excited the ice on the lake is all melted away! I really missed the ducks, geese and seagulls this winter and I can't wait for lots of babies to start coming out of the reeds!!

I thought I would introduce you to a few newcomers at the Balcony Buffet! For those of you who follow me on social media, you probably know these faces, but they are worth seeing again!

First up is MARCIA. I believe you saw the back of her head in my squirrel fur macro shot a while back. She is a darling and has been through a lot with a missing tail, a limp and a wobbly walk. But she is happy and seems healthy, so rock on MARCIA!!

This is RUSTY, a very rare Red Squirrel who visits me out the side window. He is a hard dude to capture with the camera because he never stops running. This was a rare moment when he paused to let a stiff wind pass by, before he got up and zipped away again!

This is PEPE LEPEW. He is a very unique guy as you can see. He has a white nose, white ears and paws, and a white stripe on his tail. He's cautious and shy but so adorable! Just this week, he suffered head wounds from a cat attack, so everyone please send him wishes for a full recovery.

Last but not least, my macro. Some spring water droplets on a pine branch.

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. If you have any questions or interesting tidbits about today's wildlife, please let me know.

  13. Good Morning, sweet friend! Your new creation is breathtaking! I especially like the little torn-edge corner, with the lace lined up in the distressed edge. How sweet! Yes, your shades of pink are just perfect! I hope you will enter your card in the Cardz 4 Galz "pretty in pink" challenge! The splatters of white on your ribbon look so sweet and dear! Waving hello to all your critter buddies - I, too, love my wonderful chickadee friends. Here in Florida, we always have an assortment of birds according to the season, as the birds migrate north and south each year. They pass through, remain for a few weeks to a few months, and continue on, with the exception of our standards - and Florida's "standards" are incredibly diverse! Are we birds of a feather, Pamellia! Thinking of you fondly, always - love, de

  33. Very special... and you know WHY... well... of course because of your always INCREDIBLE CREATIVITY. BUT... the picture of the woman and child made me immediately think that was YOU and YOUR MOM Pamellia! Such a sweet little image. BEAUTIFUL card.

Love your nuthatch photo - hanging sideways like that! Your little Rusty the red squirrel avoiding the wind gust is so sweet - he looks tiny all snuckered up. Pepe is VERY handsome. Poor Marcia - a squirrel without a tail is a sad image. But she is sure pretty in this photo. And the micro reminds me of the Missouri Tarantula I used to play with as a kid - I big spider, in otherwords!! Xj.

More amazing photos of bird and squirrels. I love the water droplets on the swan, stunning photography and the beautiful little White Breasted Nuthatch. Your newcomers are so cute, especially Rusty, who is totally adorable, and Pepe Lepew, who I just want to pet.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  36. The rose paper is just exquisite! So is the lovely card. Love the way you've done the 'corners' with accents on the roses and of course the dimensional roses. A card that any Mom would treasure forever. Always enjoy your photos, and best wishes to Pepe. Hope he can avoid the kitties in future. The bird shots were so marvelous and while our area has blue jays, we've not seen one come to our feeder. I'm told they are very aggressive (so are the cardinals at times) so I'm ok with just seeing the bluejays flying around! TFS & Hugs

  44. Oh, my gosh, Pamellia, your card is STUNNING! I love those papers, and you have layered and torn them to show off all those gorgeous details! Love the roses and your flower arrangemnt and bow really compliment them so well! The handmade (?) flower basket is a perfect embellishment (where do you get these molds?) The bit of lace, the stickpins and cheesecloth just make this so shabbilicious! I'm in love with this card, can you tell?

Your photos are such a treat. Love the White Breasted Nuthatch and goose photos the best! Wow, seeing that water splash off the goose--amazing shot! 1. Thanks so much Sara. I used to have a lady that made custom molds for me. You just supply her with an object, usually a resin embellishment, and she would make the mold for me. Totally worth it because the resin molds are so very expensive!

  45. Interesting about the custom molds. I was just watching a video from a lady that makes her molds from food grade silicone. Reminded me of when I was caulking my baseboards in the master bedroom. Anywhoo, your Mothers Day card is magical and so stunningly perfect. Did you make your mum a card this year? I bet you did or will. Awesome sauce layers and the things you do with paper astounded me. Hugz to you muffin!~Doc
